Sign up for 26×1 Mile Relay and a Few Reminders

It’s time to sign up to run the 26×1 Mile Relay for GLRR!  This will be held on Saturday, June 8th at Hormel Track in Medford, MA. Once again, GLRR will have 2 teams entered in this relay.  Each team will consist of 26 runners with 13 women and 13 men per team.  Each team member runs 1 mile on the track.  There is no cost to you, the club is paying for the team’s entry fee.

If you are interested in participating, please fill out this GLRR Relay Request Form.  Again, there is a limit of 52 people on the team, the fastest 26 runners (13 men, 13 women) will be on the “GLRR Angry Chickents” team and the next 26 go on the “GLRR Volunteers” team.  We also could use a few alternates.

If you have participated in this relay in the past, you know how much fun it is. We’d like to have 2 full, fun teams.  Please register by May 24th so we can see what our teams look like ahead of time.  So don’t wait, sign up today!!

Also, don’t forget to sign up to run the USATF-NE Road Grand Prix with GLRR.  The next race in the series is the Great Bear 5K on May 19, followed by the 1 Mile Road Race on July 21 at Hopkington High School.  You can sign up to run the USATF-NE Grand Prix races with GLRR here.

Remember, don’t go directly to the race registration page.  We’ll group everyone to get any discounts that might apply and send you instructions before the race.  Again, sign up using this form.

Here’s the GLRR Roster for the Great Bear 5K.  If you are on this roster, then you should have received an email earlier today from Glenn with the instructions on how to register.

And here’s the GLRR 1 Mile Roster so far.  Stay tuned for information on how to register for this race.

And while I have your attention… don’t forget to help us collect recent race results so we can share all these accomplishments with the club.  Use this Recent Race Submission form.  There has been so many exciting marathons and other races in the past couple of weeks, so please share your results with us.

See you on the roads,

Liane
