USATF-NE GP, James Joyce Ramble and Save the Dates!

This email contains lots of exciting racing information for you along with info about the GLRR Hall of Fame dinner!!

 

First off, the next race in the USATF-NE Road Grand Prix is the Frank Nealon Boston Tune-Up 15K to be held on April 1 in Upton, MA.  Remember, once you pay the one-time fee of $60, you get to run this race and all the rest of the Grand Prix races for free!!  Of course, you need to be a paid-up member of GLRR and USATF.

 

We currently have 56 people signed up to run the 15K as part of our GLRR team. You can find the current roster here.

If you’re not on this roster and want to be, sign up using the GLRR GP Entry Request Form.  Of course, you can use this form to sign up with GLRR for future GP races as well.

The remaining races for the 2023 USATF-NE Grand Prix Series is:

  • Apr 1 – Frank Nealon Boston Tune-Up 15K, Upton, MA
  • May 28 – Boston Run to Remember Half Marathon, Boston, MA
  • Aug 13 – Bobby Doyle 5 Miler, Narragansett, RI 
  • Aug 26 – New Hampshire 10 Miler, Auburn NH 
  • Sep 24 – Lone Gull 10K, Gloucester MA 
  • Oct 8 – Cape Cod Marathon, Falmouth, MA

 

Next up is the James Joyce Ramble 10K to be held on April 30 in Dedham, MA. This race is part of the in the USATF National Masters 10K Championships.  Since it is a master’s championship, you must be 40 years or older to run in the championship race.

Since this is a Championship race, GLRR will pay for entry fee for all master runners.  We will also register you for this race as part of the GLRR team.  All you have to do is fill out the GLRR online form here.

For this race you must be:

·       At least 40 years old by the date of the race

·       You must be a paid-up member of GLRR (your status is on the bottom of this email)

·       You must be a paid-up member of USATF

  • The GLRR Hall of Fame dinner will be held on Saturday May 6 – stay tuned for details.
  • The 26×1 Mile Relay will be held on June 3, 2023.  We will have 2 GLRR teams in this event, so make sure this is in your calendar.
