How to Find Your Picture In a Race

Here are my tips on how to find your picture (or someone else) in race pictures.

Most of the time I'm looking through race pictures on Jim Rhoades' picture site

The closer to the front the easier it is to find people.  When the race is large and long, it gets more difficult.  But you can still find things.

Hopefully race numbers are published in the results.  When that is the case, you can use results to locate runners near the target you are looking for.  Remember that near the end of a race places get swapped as some runners tire and other's "kick" to the finish.  So look in both directions.

For a Boston, you can use the splits to help narrow in on the target.  It is difficult, but doable.  It is more doable if you are looking for your picture.  You have a sense of what was around you and how you felt at various points of the course, and of course you have a sense of what you were wearing.  For every Boston, despite running pretty crappy, I've been able to find my pictures.  I'm sure you can too.

BTW - you probably think who'd want to see my pictures?  Well the answer is all of of us.  Everyone in the club loves seeing the success of our teammates.
