You can read all about these fine student athletes on this page. Gina Butler Varsity Track and XC for 4 years Team captain this past year for XC, indoor and outdoor track MVC All-star for XC and Indoor Lowell Sun All-Star for XC and Indoor Most Valuable Player on XC Most Improved on Indoor
On Wed Gina won at the 2 Mile over Methuen (and her friend Kristin St Pierre) in 12:15.
In the fall she will be studying psychology and running at UMass Lowell
Ailish Hanly Varsity Track 4 years and XC for 2 years Team captain this past year for indoor and outdoor track Member of the school record 4x200 relay team Relay team 5th at NE Interscholastic Indoor meet Relay team 6th at MIAA All State meet Inducted to National Honor Society in 2008 All Scholastic Athlete Award the past 3 years.
On Wed Ailish took the High Jump over Newton S with a jump of 5-3
In the fall she will be studying psychology and pre-med and running at Cornell University
Jasmine Mahotiere Varsity XC and Indoor and Outdoor Track for last 3 years All State in XC for the past 2 years Lowell Sun All Star last 2 years MVC XC All Conference last 2 years MVC All Star at 2 Miles for indoor and outdoor track Honor Roll last 3 years, High Honor Roll last year Member of the Science Club and the International Language Club for 4 years Avid volunteer – at Baystate (of course) and Winter Festival, the Middle School XC meets, Lowell Hospital Cancer Walk.
In the fall she will be studying biology and Psychology/Sociology and running at either UMass Lowell or Amherst
John O’Shea Varsity XC and Track for 4 years Team captain this past year for indoor and outdoor track 5th in XC at the Div 2 All State meet 2nd in the Indoor 2 Mile at MVC meet, 8th at the All State Div 2 meet 7th at the Outdoor All State Div 2 meet Lowell Sun All Star for XC MVC All Conference for XC and Indoor Ranked 16th academically at Dracut HS with a 3.99 GPA Member of the student council and Class Treasurer
In the fall he will be studying pre-med and running at the Commonwealth Honors College at UMass Amherst
Nicole Skotz 2008 Div 2 Runner of the Year in XC Member of the 2008 Nike Outdoor Nationals Emerging Elite 4x800 Relay Champions Member of the school record 4X800 team Team captain this past year for XC, indoor and outdoor track Lowell Sun All Star for XC Team MVP for XC Honor roll student for her 4 years at Tewksbury Member of DECA, the Yearbook Committee and the Renaissance Club
In the fall she will be studying and running with Gina at UMass Lowell
Stephen Wahome Varsity XC for 4 years and outdoor track this year MVC All Conference in XC for 3 years Sun All Star for 2 years Globe All Star this past year Coaches Award for XC and MVP this past year Also a 3 year varsity basketball player Honor roll student and High Honor student as well as student of the month at Lowell High School An avid volunteer – working at walk for hunger, the folk festival, the river walk/run and at the YMCA.
On Wed Stephen won at the 2 Mile over Andover in great time of 10:05.
In the fall he will be studying and running, but has not decided what school he will attend.
