It was a proud day for the Greater Lowell area. Club
members Nate Jenkins and Casey Moulton along with Casey's twin
brother Patrick ran the Trials today. Frank Georges, Pat
Sheridan and me (glenn) went to see them.
Nate
Jenkins came up huge - for a seventh place finish in 2:14:56.
This was just his second marathon and he bettered his first
finish time and beat the 2004 Olympic Marathon Silver Medalist
Meb Keflezighi. That's Nate at mile 25 chasing down Meb.
As he passed us he gave us the fist pump and we knew he'd pass
Meb. We went wild.
It was quite awesome for us folks from Lowell to
see one of our own among the leaders.
Patrick and Casey
Moulton also did well - Patrick was 28th in 2:18:35 and Casey
fought through a foot injury to gut out 83rd in 2:28:29.
